Amy Lazer was recommended to me by a well respected yoga instructor and Ph.D. of psychology at Mount Saint Vincent University in Hailfax, Nova Scotia. Since that time I have been a client of Amy’s for massage, Structural Integration Massage and Somatic Experiencing. Amy’s background in sport, yoga, yoga therapy and psychology have given her a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology and how the body holds physical and mental stress. Her professionalism, excellent communication and people skills put me at ease from my first visit.
Amy requires an in-depth questionnaire to be filled out by the before treatment. Each visit begins with a thorough assessment of one’s alignment. In my experience as retired RN and yoga instructor Amy’s history and assessment is much more detailed than other therapists I have worked with.
With discerning eyes and perceptive touch, Amy was aware of my body’s reaction often before I was, reminding me to breathe, asking me about the pressure of her touch, the sensations I was feeling at the time. There is no question that her work is superior – in fact she is the best therapist of her type I have encountered.
To conclude, I highly recommend Amy Lazer as a massage therapist, practitioner of Somatic Integration Massage and Somatic Experiencing.
